What is Ultrasensitive Thyroid stimulating test?

Thyroid-stimulating hormone is a pituitary hormone. It stimulates the thyroid gland in producing thyroxine (T4), and then converted to triiodothyronine(T3), which are called the thyroid hormones. Sometimes due to certain disease conditions, the thyroid hormone is not produced correctly, leading to hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism. The ultrasensitive TSH test is used to measure the amount of Thyroid Stimulating Hormone( TSH) or Thyrotropin in human serum when present in small quantities.
