High: A homocysteine test result is deemed high if it contains values greater than 15 micromoles per litre (µmol/L). These levels are detrimental to the body and signify a number of problems.
Low: Low homocysteine levels are indicated by a test result that is less than 4 micromoles per litre (µmol/L).
